Description
Gran Canaria's only Zoological Park started when the Balser family were asked to take care of a few crocodiles, they now have the largest collection in all Europe. After the success of these first adoptions, the organization SEPRONA (Environmental Protection Police) have placed many animals in the Balser family's capable hands. These animals, Chimpanzees , various other monkeys, birds to mention just a few have arrived in very bad health condition due to being cruelly mistreated and confiscated from cargo ships. The family has also added to the park by buying animals from the private sector and Circus. Animals have also been breeding freely in the park. The big family of Bengal Tigers you will see were born here.

At Gatorland you will see over 300 crocodiles and how they are feeded. We also recommend you to have a look at our tropical fishes. Later, you can have a look at our Parrot-Show or our Treasure Island... On the way to the Beertent you will find our famous Cactus garden.

Open from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm and the last admission tickets are sold at 17:00 pm. Saturdays closed. Easy access by bus from Playa del Inglés.
